Visit to Auntie Raini's
We took a little trip to see Auntie Raini and Uncle Travis for the weekend. We drove late into Thursday night, leaving after Colby got home from work, and were able to stay until Monday, so it was a nice long weekend. It was really relaxing and fun, and Raini was the hostess with the mostest! We had great food and even some cheesecake! Sabbath evening we had a song time around the piano and then sat out on her lovely front porch (three creaky wooden stairs, ... those squeaky rocking chairs... the well worn welcome mat, the lattice vines, the happy times...) Thanks again, Raini! Hope we can do it again soon! Love ya!

"All I wanna do-- when the day is through, is linger here-- on the front porch with you.--. Wow, wish I could have been there. I'm sure it is just like the house in the movie, "Summer Magic". I can feel the humidity, and hear the crickets in the background. I can't believe summer is almost over. We didn't get to experience that "front porch feeling". Seems we are always too busy, to take time to relax on the porch. I wish we had that old time, small town, Mayberry, front porch attitude, that was so common then. Grandma Snicklefritz.
