Sometimes it just seems like the round of breakfast, lunch, dinner, cooking, cleanup, rinse, repeat is endless with three kids!! But then once in a while I look at them all sitting there quietly, waiting to say prayers and looking to me for not just food but for affection, teaching, discipline, warmth, and the list goes on and on and it helps me get some perspective on the greatest job of all - motherhood. I think that it's at those moments that the Holy Spirit just whispers a little encouragement in a mommy's ear & then pulls back reality so that she can see a glimpse of eternity.
I can relate girl!! Do these people have to eat...again??!?!?
Oh how I too see the future.. They are only small such a short time.. then they are off with other projects.. then friends, or Daddy, and the time to eat together doesn't always coinside with your whole family sitting down at the table together. Before you know it, they are off to School, College... or they up and get married, and leave the area. Treasure each moment.. Because all too soon, you will be remembering what it was like. Teach them all you can.. take time to sit down with them.. walk, and talk with them.. look at things from their point of view.. Teach them all the important things..
The laundry, dishes, and dust can wait.. It will still be there when they are gone.. trust me...
