I love this picture of my niece Lissette! She is 9 1/2 months old now! She's my brother Mike's little girl, and they live in CA. So far we haven't met little Setty. But I'm really hoping to see her before her first birthday. January 2006.

This is Scott, who is 4 1/2 now! He is ready to go to work with his tool belt, chainsaw and flashlight! I love his log-truck shirt too! I need one of those for Josh! Scott and Jali are my brother Jake's two kids, who live in WA. We haven't seen them for 18 months now. This picture was taken Jan. 2006
Colby and Josh in the fun tube again! It won't be long until Josh is really that tall! My kids are growing up so fast! At church yesterday I was busy with the baby when the time came for Children's Story and the next thing we knew Josh was heading up to the front of the church with his Lamb's Offering basket, collecting money! So we watched in amazement as he gathered up the money, put it in the box, then climbed up on the front pew next to Emma D. and listened to the story! Grandpa J. went up once to remind him to sit still, but aside from that, he responsibly took HIMSELF to Children's Story! He surely has a mind and a WILL of his own! Last night he woke up and I heard him crying in his room around midnight. I went in to him and he said he couldn't fnd his cup. So we found his cup, tucked him back in, and I went back to bed. 5 minutes later he was opening up his door and going out into the hallway. Colby got up that time, to find him heading downstairs with his cup to get more water! I can't imagine how independent he'll be next year at this time, or in 5 years time, or when he's 15! A boy and his mud puddle! We had some really warm weather here last week (low 40s) and the grass started looking green, the snow all melted off and we had snowmobiles sitting on the grass in the middle of the yard. Joshua enjoyed the fresh air and really enjoyed the huge mud puddle at the end of the driveway! January 12, 2006

Raini and Shadrach! Look at how he adores her! Poor old man! I think he was relieved to know that she was taken care of; he waited until she was back from her honeymoon, and he spent one night with them in their new home before he passed away. They brought him home to the farm to bury him. Faithful friend!
