This is an old Victorian up in town that Colby and his crew have been doing some restoration on in the past few weeks. It was built around 1910, still had much of the old plumbing and a coal-burning stove in the basement. They have been putting down new wood floors, removing the drop ceilings and stomping the old 12-ft high ones, updating the plumbing and replacing rotten floors, and will soon be redoing the front porch which has begun to rot as well. The walls have also been painted and carpeting installed in the upstairs bedrooms. Aug. 25, 2006. Posted by Picasa

Looking through the house from the dining room, through the entry way - parlor to the library/office. The front door is on the left, you can see the stairway on the right. The ceiling has yet to be lifted in the dining room. Aug. 25, 2006. Posted by Picasa
Looking from the dining room into the parlor - entry way. In the center is the front door that leads out to a high porch overlooking the street. Just out of this picture to the right is an open window pass-through into the kitchen for easy serving. Aug. 25, 2006. Posted by Picasa
Looking from the main floor entry - parlor into the library/office and the hallway that leads to the kitchen. The door on the left leads to a little porch on the side of the house. New floors have been added and the ceiling was lifted back to its original 12 ft. height. Aug. 25, 2006. Posted by Picasa

Yep, those are two front teeth peeking out of those fluffly little cheekies! All the better to chomp with, my dear... Aug. 25, 2006. Posted by Picasa
Not the best picture, but you can see all 4 of her teeth! It's so hard to get good pictures of baby teeth! Aug. 25, 2006. Posted by Picasa

Here's Colby's knuckle. He sliced it to the bone on Thursday on some sheet metal. I made a little video of it and will send an invite to the snapfish album for those who aren't squeamish! It looks much better now with the meat knit back together and a nice scab on the skin, with no redness. Aug. 24, 2006. Posted by Picasa

I multitasked when I came downstairs with Emmy after her nap on Sunday! Joshua thought it was pretty funny! Aug. 20, 2006 Posted by Picasa
He was trying to pick her up, but he couldn't believe how HEAVY she was! And then he gave up and tried to climb in with her. Aug. 20, 2006 Posted by Picasa
We saw a beautiful sunset over the Indiana State Fair from the grandstand while we watched the Big and Rich concert Tuesday night, August 15, 2006. The kids stayed with Colby's mom, and it was a night out, just Raini and I! Posted by Picasa
This was a great concert! Their whole attitude was much more laid back than I expected. It was kind of like, "hey, this is what we do in our living room and you're welcome to join in the fun!" ...but with fireworks! There were several performers from the Muzik Mafia that gave some great performances as well. Aug. 15, 2006 Posted by Picasa
This was when they did the song, "The 8th of November", a song about a heroic medic saving the lives of many in the heat of a battle in Vietnam. Three of the original members of that battalion were there to present the color guard. It was really very moving. Aug. 15, 2006 Posted by Picasa
