Visit to Auntie Raini's

We took a little trip to see Auntie Raini and Uncle Travis for the weekend. We drove late into Thursday night, leaving after Colby got home from work, and were able to stay until Monday, so it was a nice long weekend. It was really relaxing and fun, and Raini was the hostess with the mostest! We had great food and even some cheesecake! Sabbath evening we had a song time around the piano and then sat out on her lovely front porch (three creaky wooden stairs, ... those squeaky rocking chairs... the well worn welcome mat, the lattice vines, the happy times...) Thanks again, Raini! Hope we can do it again soon! Love ya!

Perfect Friday Evening

The weather was so nice and warm, and the sunset was so pretty! We took the lawnchairs out by the road and I read aloud while Colby kept an eye on Josh and Emmy while they rode their bikes and trikes back and forth. August. 29, 2008
